My One Small Voice on Y!A has come to an end. Gravity is impatiently calling; though it was truly grand while it lasted. Thank you all for the wonderful ride, the memories, the kind words, the love, and your gracious friendship (and yes, even the occasional insults too). … Virtual as all this maybe, you will always be remembered.
Peace and Farewell - May you all live long and prosper.
P.S. As a sign of my heartfelt appreciation, I will leave the account open (at least for some time) - in case any of you would ever wish to revisit the memories.
Here's one last present - enjoy:

My Dear Friends,
I’ve never been big on sentimental goodbyes [heartbreakingly devastating as some of them have been in the past], but I’ve also never been scared of and/or shy about expressing my true feelings. So I tell you all from the very core of my being: I am truly overwhelmed, speechless, and in fact “steamrolled in the most endearing sense of the word” by your kind and loving expressions of friendship and support.
… I also realize now that I have ignobly, all be it inadvertently, let some of you (if not most of you) – who put your friendship trust in me – down; and that profoundly saddens me beyond words. I have always believed that genuine friendship is the greatest and most precious gift/blessing that anyone can ever encounter in life. I just never counted on encountering such deep and authentic bonds of friendship in a virtual environment like Y!A’s – in retrospect, I was sadly mistaken.

… Avatars as we all may appear here, one must never lose sight of the fact that there are REAL human beings (friends, trolls, angels, maniacs, gurus, or otherwise) with REAL feelings behind each and every one of them. I’m not only delighted to be in your company, I am truly honored that you consider me a worthy friend. … I assure you, you guys are just as immortally beloved and precious to me as any friend in my tactile reality.
… Ironically enough, I was originally drawn to Y!A to get away from the exceedingly abstract and intensely demanding nature of my work, and this venue offered a seemingly perfect opportunity for much needed distraction and conveniently accessible entertainment. But soon (as I’m sure many of you are quite familiar with the feeling) it took a life of its own; demanding more and more of my time [though admittedly, no one put a gun to my head, either :-)].

Still, I would not exchange the addictive but enlightening experiences of Y!A for all the treasures of the world; I have learned a lot from you guys and I truly feel indebted to every one of you, but above all, I feel we have formed a precious bond (again as virtual as it all maybe) that should NOT be broken.
… I am not a perfectionist, but I’ve also never been very good at doing things haphazardly or just winging it, so to speak. My workload seems to be exponentially increasing, and yet my childlike enthusiasm for new discoveries finds it exceedingly easy, when asked, to commit me to other people’s projects and “intellectual babies”. Sometimes, I wonder if I ever learn to just say “NO”. :-) But one thing I am absolutely certain of: I never want to say NO to friendships like ours, especially when it translates into so much happiness.

… So here is my commitment to myself, to all of you, and above all to our friendship: As long as I am alive [and I plan to be for at least another 60 years, so you better get used to me :-)], I will always make time to drop by your Y!A neighborhood and leave a quick greeting card or two – think of it as my “Big Friendship Hug” coming your way, ALWAYS. … THANK YOU ALL FOR BEING YOU. :-)

Hmmmmmmm!!!! Goodbye???? No, can't say goodbye to you. You were the very FIRST person I talked to on a more personal basis here in Y!A when I logged in for the first time about a year ago. Your presence has made a big difference to me in so many ways. So if you are graciously leaving Answers for your own personal reasons, I want to wave to you and tell you NO MATTER WHAT, some things are forever engraved in our memories and our hearts.
May your spiritual journey in life be long and happy and my spiritual life through cyber space will always be reminded of strings attached to golden angel hair.
Always take care.

Although I encountered you only a short time ago, I have been glad for the time having you as an Answers friend. I think you are one of the kindest and most intelligently thoughtful here. Though I'm not around as much as many, your shining heart and unique wit have given me a smile each time I see 'you.' I'll miss you, though I know how it is with the call of Gravity.
Thanks for each of your music presents along the way. :)
All the best of everything be with you wherever Gravity pulls!!

I wish you wouldn't but who am I to say? Just a rose beholding pigeon releasing sexy banshee. And Hey!!!! if messing with a bunch of canned worms is more of your thing...than messing with a bunch of Yawhoos then that's what you should do. Do what you think is best for you. Follow your heart wherever it leads you. Would help if you take the same road enki took when he said goodbye cause it will lead you right back here and that's where I would prefer you to be....but you walk your own path so you lead. Who knows maybe soon I will follow.
Do stop by once in a while and wink an to make us smile...

It has been a true pleasure!! I have greatly appreciated your very clever, intelligent and creative questions and answers. But what is even more appreciated is you "genuiness".
I'm sad to see you go, but it sounds like work is calling...
I'm assuming when you mention "gravity" your implying "supergravity" and perhaps after a few weeks of inspired effort you will be able to tie up some of the thorny loose ends and put everything in proper unified order.
That being the case, I hope you will have a chance to visit from time to time, but if not, I can at least leave you with the one piece of philosophical wisdom that has profoundly influenced my life:
"Wherever you may be, that is where you are".:-)
Peace and Well-Being.

I am saddened to hear this. I shall miss you and your intelligence and humor. And all those fantastic YouTubes. I'm listening to Gravity now, and it is a fitting ending. I wish you the best. Oh yes, the doors are always open for your return. Take care my friend.

You look like you have your own reason to adieu your friends.
I know it's a very hard thing to do.
My best idea is that you send to each one of them a message(an e-mail for example)
telling that you have to farewell them and that you are not proud of that, but you have to
Either telling them the reason or excuse for not telling them the reason will make them understanding
your situation and will make them not worry about you.
I think that will be nice of you to do all of these things in a friendly sweet way.
That's all I have in my mind.

it's all too often a challenge to speak our truth, to speak from our hearts, and many of us.
no.
most of us, cannot speak from our hearts. i am included in this group.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DjKnHAKtYFA
goodbyes and me do not get along at all, and so it's with deep regret that i cannot offer you a goodbye, no matter how graciously you've asked. it even caused me concern to "star" your question - how can i applaud your departure by declaring your question as interesting?
the star i've offered you is one of thanks and a golden badge of merit for all of the gifts you've given us here.
but still, saying goodbye just ain't my bag, baby. can i simply offer you this, with all the graciousness i can muster?
gravity calls and you're replying. right now i wish to thank you.
*thank you for all of the thoughtful questions you've asked that in my efforts to answer them, left my brains dripping on the keyboard.
*thank you for the oddly twisted humourous questions you've posed which i could barely contain my laughter at the wacky answers you attracted, mine included.
*thank you for the musical challenges you planted, sprouting seeds of beautiful harmonies as you conducted us all into a symphony of answers.
*thank you for your "small voice" resonating with our "small voices".
*thank you for reminding us all to keep
:-)
in our internet alphabet.
*thank you for your sacred math questions which scared me half to bits, but at least once, you elicited a response from me. and i had fun coming up with an answer for you too.
*thank you.
and i'll simply say the rest in a song:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vY1peG8gHQ
(philosophically speaking, the internet has no doors, so you cannot close a door which does not exist. this means you - or at least your "echo" - will reappear as if you have never left....)
:-) always
