I took a Psychology and Health course in college. While talking about sex, we looked at a study that said if a woman orgasms 1 minute before or up to 45 minutes after a man ejaculates, the chance of fertilization are better because of the contractions of the uterus.

There is evidence that suggests so, yes. The contractions in the uterus and cervix during a female orgasm help to move the semen closer to the cervix and a slight sucking action pulls the semen into the cervix. The more semen you get past the cervix, the better.
