Well, 15 is a little on the old side, but if you get a big group of your friends together and do it in kind of a jokey way, nobody will make fun of you. My cousin was 15 last year and she got a big group of kids her age together and they all dressed up and went out trick-or-treating, and they had a BLAST! In fact, I was thinking about trying to rally my friends this year and go door-to-door with them, and I'm 27!!!!
As for the trick-or-treating times, it usually is acceptable to start at 6:00 or so, but it's usually all over by 8:30-ish, because, well, it really IS meant for the young kiddies, and most of them have to be in bed by 8:30 or 9:00. Have a fun time!

Personally, I think 15 is too old to Trick or Treat. I stopped trick or treating when I was 14. Instead, I threw or went to halloween parties. I would get a bunch of friends together, make some fun, creepy food, watch cheesey scary movies (the Evil Dead trillogy was always a big hit) and hand out candy to the little kids. It was always good fun, and I never missed trick or treating. You can still have all the candy you want, and you never have to worry about getting the lame crap. You'll always get your favorites and nothing but! I've never in all this time stopped dressing up.
Now that I am having a baby of my own, I will start trick or treating again... with my baby!

No one is ever too old to go trick-or-treating. I went trick-or-treating until I was 17! I love Halloween too. I'm 24 now and I don't go trick-or-treating anymore but I do still dress up and go to parties and clubs with my boyfriend and friends. The best times to go trick-or-treating are from around 3:00 to 9:00pm. Have fun!

You are not too old. Some people are just grumpy. Check your local paper or call the mayor's office as the time to trick or treat is usually scheduled for a certain day and time. Go later in the time frame if you can. Around here, people always come at the beginning and there is no one towards the end, so we give all our remaining candy to the last stragglers of the day - we load them up!

you are too old to trick or treat - give it up. it takes away from the lil kids to enjoy the activity when you were their age. it also looks pathetic to be that big and knocking on someone's door for free candy, get it? instead why don't you hold a halloween party for friends your own age. make it a costume only party, have door prizes, music you all love blasting (don't forget to mix in monster mash, lol). you can still enjoy halloween at any age, but just not in the same way 6 year olds do.....
PS - i am not grumpy, I'm in my 20's and celebrate halloween with my friends every year. there are lots of teens around here and none of them are out with the kindergarten kids trick or treating, maybe it's the cool thing to do in small town america, I dunno. This is like saying "am I too old to go to chucky cheese?" no, you can go - but you will still look foolish. it's up to you.

I think as long as you dress up and put some effort into your costume you'll be fine! Just remember to be polite and actually say "trick or treat", ok? I hate it when teens come to my house not dressed up and expect candy....I just say no costume...no candy! Have fun! Enjoy being young!

well I think you should still go trick or treating if you want. Maybe you and a bunch of friends can go, or take your siblings or offer to take younger neighbors. Have fun!....I'm 20 and I'm going to take my fiance's Lil brother out...and I will dress up with him.

You're never too old to trick or treat. I have teens coming to my door every year. It's usually 4pm to 8pm. It depends on the town you're in.
