I have reviewed both Hillary's and Obama's voting records.. I disagree with many issues that Hillary Clinton is an advocate for.. and I have realized that Barack Obama will preach about one thing on stage, but his voting record conflicts with what he states
I'm not a big fan of John Edwards, but I give him credit for at least not dodging the questions like these two, and posing valid arguements.. He was the only one on stage out of these three to also guarantee that he could have the troops out by 2013, which was a promise neither Obama or Clinton to make.. And also keep in mind that he was the only one out of these three to vote NO on Bush's Iran Resolution....
My question is since the media has already labeled these three the "top tier" and Hillary seems to lead all the polls.... Is there anyway Edwards could somehow catch up? I dislike all three of them, but I would be more comfortable with him in office. Does he have any shot at all?

Beth do you realize that both Hillary and Obama are opposed to gay marrige as well, they only support civil unions as does John Edwards
His record is the same as there's.. he just publicly says it ... www.ontheissues.org

capnbill, I completely disagree with you.. I have spent a lot of time evaluating Obama... First of all I work in the media.. I know how stories are spun around and how candidates are marketed to us.. It's interesting for me to see that people actually buy into..
Edwards is not the best candidate I have already stated that, and I'm supporting someone else in the primaries..
But let me telll you that corporations are far more comfortable backing Obama then they are Edwards... Despite Obama's constant trashing of the establishment, he is very much part of it.. AND IS BACKED BY INTEREST GROUPS, CORPORATIONS AND LOBBYISTS...
Another thing this whole concept of diplomacy that he advocates, would be a good thing if he meant it... He has stated he would invade Pakistan without the consent of the government, yet he would talk with Iran.. and if wanted have talks with Iran, why didn't he vote on President Bush's bill... LIKE ALL THE OTHER DEMOCRATS DID???

DEVILINM, first of all that's just a rumor and while I agree that it is a horrible thing to do to his wife if it is in fact TRUE.. but that is his personal life and not the concern of the public,.. what I'm concerned about is the issues on hand.. HOW MANY MORE PEOPLE NEED TO DIE?

in this war.. I don't care who he sticks it to, if he can get the troops out properly and sooner then both Hillary and Obama... and if your main concern is his personal life as opposed to the lives of our troops, then I suggest you question your own morals opposed to his..

John Edwards is a brilliant, very intelligent lawyer, with proven and highly productive track records. Hillary Rodham Clinton has experience as a working attorney, however not even close to the magnitude of Edward's productivity. And Baracka Hussein Obama, has little to no experience as a working lawyer earning real money. John Edwards has a good chance to win the nomination if his message and track record are understood by the electorate. He sponsored the Patient Protection Act, which was passed in 2001. Edwards is a true champion of the ordinary, common person, and does not recite prepared empty platitudes like Hussein Obama; Edwards has the record to coroborate his claims. John Edwards is a true supporter of the working class and has won many victories for ordinary citizens, who were victims of corporate criminal America. Yes, John Edwards has a chance, and if the electorate should awaken, do diligent research on his record, and become aware of his accomplishments, John Edwards will be the Democrat nominee for the president of the United States. I'm not a Democrat, however, if Edwards becomes the Democrat's choice, I will find it difficult not to vote for him.

I would hope that he will. The current trends towards Hillary seem to make it dismal even for Obama at this point. But it is not too late. I agree with you that he is taking the tough stance against the GW admin, the war and many other issues that others are either hedging on or are playing to the media.
The nonsense about his being a privileged individual should be put to rest when anyone with any intelligance and honesty can see that he came from a modest beginning and built his career as a successful lawyer helping others less fortunate than himself. Yes... you make money doing that! Show me any Republican or Democrat who is not taking money for their life's work. He at least is staying true to his values and making it known in his speeches and appearances. Let's all watch Hill, Obama and Rudy as they waffle on this and that issue right up until the conventions.... tough choices...

Of course he has a chance, he is polling very well in Iowa right now. He must win Iowa, though, I think he could get Obama's supporters over to his side if he wins in Iowa. Then he would be the true anti-Hillary candidate.

Yes. John Edwards has a chance. Hillary doesn't, neither does Baramba - that is, if the Democratic party truly wants to be in the White House again since the Republicans obviously don't. It would be an easy win.

I havn't saved up with the feuds, yet I wager your brother 5 funds that Edwards will be operating adverse to McCain. Edwards isn't my first selection yet at the same time as is the wonderful time the democrat celebration confirmed us that they had balls? they don't look going to threat putting a minority on the cost tag.

im all for Obama for the reason he is willing to work out compromises, we dont need another head in the sand "decider" for the next president
yes Obama doesnt always vote his values, but that is what makes him a great candidate, he thinks about what is best in a given situation, unlike many others.
Edwards worth over $400 million dollars is a champion of the poor? yeah right. he hasnt even put hardly any of his own money into the campaign, was does that tell you?
Even Mitt Romney has dumped 10's of millions of his own money into his campaign
oh btw, Barack and his wife just went over $100,000 in thier compined salaries a few years ago when he became a Senator, before that his wife was the real breadwinner
that tells me they understand what it is to be a "normal" american taxpayer

I think he does have a chance. He is currently #3 in line after Clinton and Obama. So, if he pushes hard, and the other two slip up in Iowa, he's in.
I don't support him, either, but he's the lesser of the 3 evils.
