In one book they have given 112/15hrs as 7hrs and 28 min.
How to convert? can any one explain this with a formula. So that it suits to all the problems similar to this.

Divide 112 by 15:

7.46666667

Multiply the non-whole portion (.46666667) by 60:

28.

The 7 is your hours, the 28 the minutes. There's not much of a formula involved... just divide the two numbers and multiply the remainder by 60. If you multiply the remainder's remainder by 60 you can also get seconds.

If you divide 112 by 15 you get 7 and a remainder of 7.

(7/15 ) multiplied by 60 (no of mins in an hour) is 28.

So the answer is 7h 28 because there are 7 whole hours, and the remainder corresponds to 28mins.

112 / 15 hours = 105 7/15 hours

1 hour = 60 mins
7/15 hour
= (7/15) x 60 min
= 7 x 4 min
= 28 min
Thus
112 / 15 hours = 7 hours 28 min

first, you need to do the equation, in this case 112/15 hrs. the answer is a decimal, 7.466666666. the 7 is going to be the hour, and you will convert the deicmal to minutes. Now, take the decimal and multiply it by 60. by this function, you are taking 46.66 % of an hour, which will yield minutes. the answer comes out to 27.9999999999. so lets say you have 89/16 hours, that would be 5 hours and 33.75 minutes. hope this helps.

You need to convert the 7/15 hrs to mins
(7/15) hrs * 60 mins/hrs = 28 mins
So you get 7 hrs 28 mins
