Why not use the standard URL www.myspace.com?

I suspect you are a student using the Internet at school where it is blocked or you are an employee using the Interneet at work where it is blocked. End runs will likely also be blocked - and in most cases the system managers will know of your attempts. End run attempts are good ways to have Internet access privledges removed and you can be suspended, expelled or fired.

Use the Internet at school for academic purpose and at work for work purpose.

C:\>ping www.myspace.com

Pinging www.myspace.com [216.178.39.74] with 32 bytes of data:

You could reference it with the IP address rather than the hostname. Of course if this is an attempt to get in from school, they'll have that and most of the proxy sites blocked (if not blocked now, I'm sure it will be shortly).
