Just currious why when someone straight or bi comes in here and ask a question about being with the opposite sex some people give smart answers like well im gay why this in this section etc... They totally pound the questioner with smart comments about this being the gay section. I just think sometimes people forget that this is the glBt section Bi people are here also....Anyone agree or disagree? Do we even realize the Bi's exist in GLBT?

Point taken. I guess it's a knee-jerk reaction to having so many questions that were posted carelessly, but it certainly could and does happen. I'll be more aware of it now. Thanks!

I think that it has to do with the ones that come in here to bash. people sometimes get hyper sensitive. I posted a question in GLBT the other day that was simply "how was your weekend?" and I posted one yesterday "What are your plans tonight?" and i got answers like "why did you put this ? here? I wanted to respond b/c i feel at home here and the question was to all the GLBTs! I'm over it.

I try not to berate people who ask questions. However, the questions have been asked a million times, and if they simply do a search in the answers, they'd see that.

I, personally, have a hard time understanding the the "Bi" in the GLBT, but that's just me... please don't jump all over me simply because I don't understand it. To clarify - I know what "Bi" is, i just have a hard time understanding those who are Bi, and why they are.

Good point. I think sometimes people assume such questions come from trolls, and do forget that bi's might have those type questions, too.

edit--I actually own this hat! And do wear it in public! I bought it for a play in the early 90's and liked it a lot!!

There are still those who thing we should be one way or the other. There is so much grey area in this world and in this community that the true test of diversity and acceptance would be to include those of which we do not necessarily agree, yet still allow a meaningful life filled with exploration and experience.

Agreed still, every once in awhile on obviously provocative question gets deliberately posted here that merits some condemnation. But not as often as it seems to happen IMO.

PS, me, you and Andrew should start a cool hat club.

:)

Point taken. I was not aware of this issue. Thank you for opening my eyes. And thank you for being a decent person in pointing it out that I was wrong.
