That's not exactly what GW means. The warming of the planet means that the normal weather patterns are plunged into abnormal patterns. You have more extreme patterns of cold and hot. In the southern hemisphere we may experience warmer winters but that will be made up for in the northern hemisphere where there can be deep freezes. If and when the polar ice-caps melt enough during the warm seasons we will see a complete shift. Deep freeze artic temps in the north and flooding in the southwest. Hot drought conditions in the southeast. It would be nice to envision a picture like that with nice warm winters and you would also think we could have a much longer growing season to produce more food but the conditions are too extreme. No rain here and too much rain there. You get the picture.

Great thought. Also think of this...as the ice melts at the polar ice cap the sun warms the water and soon the when the water arrives it will warm enough to bathe or shower with and we won't need hot water heaters! And so what if New York City is flooded out of existence? The last time I was in NYC I got mugged. So I should care?

Whatever happened to the ICE AGE y'all were moaning about 30 years ago? Does this mean your global warming efforts will have to be reversed in another 30 years when the earth cools again?

That is an intersting thought. In that case the Liberals should like Global Warming. Global Warming is better for the environment and Ozone layer!
Now hand me that styrofoam cup over there.

Global warming will happen no matter what we do. It is nature.
However, it is prudent not to pollute. That's a no brainer.
It is sad that the tree huggers have latched onto a natural cylce we can do nothing about and use it to try and push their draconian anti-pollution agenda.
Here's a clue people: reduce your pollution. Same story, different spin.

Your logic escapes me --
Burning down your house would create many jobs for rebuilders.
Killing off millions of people would mean more resources for the rest of us
killing your family would mean more money for you
there is always an UP SIDE to catastrophe.
But catastophe should never be REACHED FOR
disgusting, as usual

To the ones who said it takes more energy to cool rather than to heat. . . . . .you're partly correct , BUT you have neglected to take into account all the areas that will need NO cooling as a result of the warmer temps !!
GREAT QUESTION !!!
Do Ya Think Liberal Yahoo Will Post This As A Featured Question ?? Smile .

I believe that almost every imagineable crop on the planet grows better in warmer temperature too.
Good question.
There seems to be a lot of upside to this global warming, lets keep up the good work.
