i got hurt on the job lifting heavy boxes for two days straight. i work overnight. the 2nd night of working is when my back went out. the lower part of my back where the indention is swollen and hurts and it is hard to rest. i told my job and they told their insurance company. i was told to go to the doctor and fill out the neccessary paperwork as far as workers comp.

Since then the doctor has been unsuccessful in trying to get an authorization faxed to them from my employers insurance company that they will pay the bill. THE DOCTOR OFFICE CALLED ALL YESTERDAY AND SO FAR TODAY AND THEY GET THE RUNAROUND. I tried calling the insurance company also and stayed on hold to long. i HAVE NOT BEEN SEEN BY A DOCTOR YET BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO PAY FOR THE VISIT.

WHAT DO I DO, I'M STUCK AT HOME BECAUSE MY EMPLOYER TOLD ME TO STAY HOME UNTIL I'M SEEN BY A DOCTOR. BUT I'M GETTING NO HELP FROM THEIR INSURANCE COMPANY.

PLEASE SOMEONE OFFER ME SOME SUGGESTIONS..

Call your state's Insurance Commissioner. That office will direct you to the office that can/will intervene on your behalf.

if it was work related, the insurance company doesn't pay, the state pays, at least it does unless your company is self insured, in which case, you are probably screwed. I would start with your human resources department and ask them to find out why the insurance is not paying.

GET A LAWER FAST! One who specilizes in work injuries, they will take care of you, and help you get the help you need.
