That is not art. Its just him making a statement about society and how technology is destructive and against nature. There is nothing wrong with that. I see his point but its not art.
This is what my brother believes and he is an artist, paints, draws etc making a living out of his work. He says that people who call this art really want to be artist but just can't paint and aren't really creative they just b.s. themselves and others to believe they are artist.. I think thats true...

I think it's fantastic, in the truest sense of the word. Body modification is a huge leap for an artist to take and I felt it to be a statement about the human desire to use technology without thinking of the consequences.

It is a bid for attention, not art. In fact, this takes attention-seeking (down) to a whole new level.

With all the pierced, tattooed folks walking around these days, I fully expect to see more of this.

Can you imagine? An extra vulva on the neck. A penis coming out of each existing ear. The possibilities are bottomless.

The only thing beautiful about this is if some blessed individual is able to get an ear grafted onto the area where they are missing an ear.

In this particular case it is horrifying to see a misplaced body part grafted onto an area of the body where it was never intended to be.

It's as much art as a tattoo is. I mean, why would you pay someone to stab you with a needle hundreds of times and then have a permanent stain. It all depends on how you look at it.

Ha, I think thats well funny, art is about pushing the boundaries, not just a picture on a wall in a gallery, people like you will never understand it, so its best just left at that.

Art is in the eye of the beholder. I for one don't consider this art. Medical interest maybe but that's about it

Sheesh.!!

I guess it's the same way they considered that a crucifix immersed in a jar of u rine was art.

Just shows to go you that 'art' is in the eye of the government

Completely retarded insanity at it's finest.
