I've seen several people on here who suggest that those who disagree with their political views should be either deported or executed. What do you think of this?

Holy Defender: I doubt very seriously that any political scientist would consider Hitler a leftist!

That's a scary thought. We libs could all end up like Che' Guevara. There are already survivalists practicing to make war with America and such.

Disagree. Citizens should be allowed to "cry" about whatever they want to their government. The government can still do what it wants within its legal limits. Any time a country decides to deport a section of its population as a whole, there are considerations besides human rights that also need consideration. Here in the United States, where we have large amounts of illegal aliens, those fighting mass deportation often claim human rights as their primary argument. However there are far more persuasive arguments to be made that have nothing to do with human rights. Just become a group arguing against your opinion has a faulty argument does not mean their end desire is incorrect. Just because they fail to note better arguments doesn't mean those arguments are not there.

Thats easy.

Those that say such stupid things should be ignored.

What they should do is go back to school and take a civics course. Real basic. Starting out that in America, we are individuals first, patriots second. That we can think for ourselves, and we don't need the government telling us what to think. But if there is an immediate danger, then we come together.

No such danger exists. But some would have us believe it does.

Freedom of expression is paramount to democracy. Even those who advocate against freedom of expression should be entitled to it.

All of this talk against "extremists" is a silly veil to cover the true threats against freedom of expression. It is the American center (much to the right of the rest of the democratic world) that is bent on silencing opinions it does not like.

That said, those attacking Che Guevara for his attack on Freedom of Expression ought to tell us what they would do if their country was over run by foreign agents committing acts of terrorism. If you don't know about early revolutionary Cuba, why even comment? EL Che made very many mistakes, and I don;t support his intolerance, but I have to say, given CIA actions in Cuba and Guatemala, I would have done the same.

Freedom or no freedom, Americans need to get out of Latin America. Did you hear about the Colombian 12 year old who was raped by US soldiers? If we need to lose freedom of speech for a few years so that the gringos are finally out of my continent then so be it.

On the other hand, I would hope that Americans themselves reel in their killers so that we in Latin America can develop freely and hopefully live under a bill of rights as much respected as your own.

What a dumb question... Get OUT!

Ok... Got that bad joke out of my system.

It does remind me of Hillary trying to shut down con radio shows though. She doesn't like it so she wants it gone.

I think it's as anti-American as you can get. Our system was set up to deal with differing opinions and those opinions are good--compromise will help solve the problems of all Americans, not just one group.

That they are proof that the anonymity of the internet allows bitter anti-social misfits to project their self-loathing onto other people and spout garbage that they would never do to people that they were face-to-face with.

It's stupid and childish.

So is questioning others' patriotism, or calling others greedy, or saying that people hate the poor, etc.

They are the extremist to the right and the left and should simply be ignored.

They're sick individuals who are so scared of other people's ideas that they have to remove them from their view.
