I like pokemon, and I got into it when it's popularity was dropping. I am fan of the old pokemon series (Up until the Hoen leagye, when May came in.) All my friends say it's because I'm older now, but I still rewatch old episodes and enjoy them. With the newer pokemon the plot seems to always be the same. "Oh cool we met someone new! Lets battle! OMG it's team rocket! Oh no pikachu! OMG thundershock bam! Team Rockets Blasting off again everyone lives happily ever after, the end." boring! I'm an old fart about pokemon :D

Yeah, all of the original voice actors left. It sucks. You can totally tell that the voices changed. Especially Ash.

No they are not. I play pokemon a lot and sadly you cannot use them. The reason why you cannot use them is because the older pokemon sets get rotated out every year. The reason why they do this terrible thing is because the Pokemon Company forces all the people who play to buy new cards. And if your cards arent new enough yo cannot play.

That's true, no element of surprise, same damn routine each day! But I still like the cute Pokemon and the ones after Hoenn are much more serious and imposing. Which may well be a plus point. They say it's in for a revamp in the near future so we oughta keep faith.
The new movies don't disappoint though and the Diamond and Pearl gameplay is gorgeous!

it seems to me, the old episodes had that plot structure too. I suppose because a) we were much younger and more easily entertained, and b) it was new and we were still getting to know the characters and learning the ins and outs of the Pokemon world, we liked it. Now we recognize that it's the same thing over and over again we are bored with it but at the same time the older episodes still hold a sense of nostalgia so we continue to like them anyway.

I agree! I just hate that Ash and friends didn't know if its Team Rocket. It's like they are saying "Hey pikachu go to the starge people over there they won't take you." Gosh! I just want to smack them in the head!

the new one sucks and i hate the way ash sounds and how pikachu sounds too and they took may's old voice actor and put here for the new girl

Pokemon rocked whenever Ash was with Misty and Brock.
May was trash.
I missed Misty. I wish Misty came back.
I'm glad I watched Pokemon back in the 1990's.
I'm totally glad that I enjoyed watching Pokemon back in the late 1990's and early 2000's.
I'll always love original Pokemon for life.
