It's a drama. It has a script. There is a plot. There are characters who have distinct back stories. This is what acting is about. There will be characters who will say things from time to time that you or I may not say, but, to the character, it is how they think about a particular subject.

Doesn't mean the networks/writers etc. are racist. They put a line in the script that was a glimpse into the real-life opinions of a lot of people. Whether that opinion is right or wrong may be addressed in a later episode.

But we can't thrwart creative expression because it might offend.

Sex and the City has too many episodes to count where there are references to people's race, religion or sexual orientation. So, does South Park, The Wire, etc.

It's called entertainment. Don't take it so seriously.

better brought up a good point. The show is based off someone's outlook of life revolving housewives. I stopped watching the show a long time ago, I can't stand to look at a woman cut her throat (metaphorically, Eva Longoria) and then act as if she didn't do anything wrong.

BUT this is about the rude comment, I would just boycott the show.

Personally, I do not watch sitcoms... However, I find it in poor taste to make racial jokes or stereotypical comments about anyone. It simply shows the persons level of ignorance and total lack of intelligence and respect for others. Very ugly.... God bless****

It was pretty dumb, but I think they realize that now and if I remember they apologized.
