I think we had a couple of famous paintings hanging up on the wall in the livingroom, don't know who they were painted by, but I do know that my dad had each of them covered by Lloyds of London insurance, so perhaps they were originals, but I wasn't into paintings then, mostly exotic sportscars.
I do know that there was a fairly expensive security system protecting those paintings from being stolen, and they sort of looked weird to me, but then again, I was only 16 and more interested in my Italian sportscar then weird paintings that the old fart would buy and hang up somewhere in our home.

Yes, I do! I have several! I bought them at estate sales! One is a winter scene with little kids skating on a lake! The others are of some portraits of a woman's pets. She passed away and her children sold them at the estate sale! I think they are cute! Maybe I should take them to the Antiques Roadshow! They could be worth a fortune!

Acrylics yes. Oil no. I have never been very good at oil painting.

no, I tried doing on myself, but it ended up just being a greasy mess, I think that you're supposed to use oil paint instead of actual cooking oil though.

Yes, my nephew did it. I paid $2000 to buy it at an art show for his college. He's very talented. My most prized piece of art by far!

Yes, I have two, my best friend is an extremely talented artist. Nowadays, I can't afford her art.
