Hi,
I recently received a large quantity of old Testros brand model paints. ( the small bottles ). My concern is that they are very old ( mabybe 20 years? ) They are in great condition thought, and they work great for my hobby painting. I am just wondering if they are lead based.

P.S. They do say that they "contain a chemical know to california to cause cancer/birth defect" on the label, which newer testors paints dont say.

Better safe than dead. Take them to your city hazmat department.

changed into the Six Flags park in California? California has some fairly confusing guidelines about lead in products. in reality, maximum Christmas lighting fixtures have a caution for California electorate about lead on the lighting fixtures (i wager as long as we do not stay in California we do not should be stricken). i could say more desirable threat-free than sorry, though. Lead is an fairly poisonous chemical to a baby. the more youthful the youngster the more desirable doubtlessly risky it may nicely be.

I'd say get rid of them too. It probably is lead based. Call the company to see.
