I always stand my ground. I know that I should just walk away, and be the bigger person, but knowing what to do and doing it are two different things. I am 37 yrs old. I have recently realized that just because I am right, does not mean that the other party will ever acknowledge it. Sometimes I have to let it go for me,so that I can move on. Just let them live in their own ignorance, and pick the battles worth fighting. If not I'll end up wasting my energies arguing principles with someone who has none.

it depends on the topic of the argument. If it is something you know for sure or you know that you are right in the situation stand your ground, but if the argument really doesn't have a point and you feel it is useless to be arguing about it back down or walk away.

I think it depends on the person and the situation. If they are family or loved ones, I listen and give them the benefit of doubt. If it's outsiders, then I tend to stand my ground and answer back. I've found that if you back down, people will assume they are right and that you can be dominated. Neither is a good thing.

If i'm arguing with a loved one, i always stand my ground (cuz i'm always forgiven) but if its a friend or someone else, i just state my point, and go on with my day.. but i really never argue with anyone other than family lol. But sometimes if i'm in a bad mood, it turns into a screaming cussing match! Then the next day, everyones good again.

It depends on the situation. At times you have to know when to stand your ground, and when to let the other person vent their anger and frustration. If you have done something very wrong hear them out. If they go overboard on it, tell them when they calm down to come back and talk to you some more and walk away. If they continue to yell at you then you start yelling back.

it depends.. in real life.. I will most likely back down.. that is if it is a person that I know or care about that the argument is with.. I'm a submissive type of person. on the internet, though.. with people I don't know and never will.. I stand my ground. in real life if a person I didn't know tried to start an argument with me.. I would ignore them entirely.. act like they don't exist.

Stand my ground if I know 100% that I am right, if I'm not sure I'll listen to the other persons input and see how it goes from there.
