Set up a hidden video cam and catch him in the act. Let the police do the rest!

Set up a motion-activated camera or two. Be sure to cover both sides of the car, if you think it necessary. Test the camera to be sure that it works well enough in low-light situations to clearly identify the person.

Sugar in their gas tank, baloney all over the body of the car. Sharp objects near behind their rear tires.

Yeah, you could record them on camera. Take it to the police, maybe they'll get a small fine or ticket. Or maybe you'll take them to small claims. Even if you do they still don't "have" to pay you back. Heck, depending where you live, the police might not even come to take your report.

id set up a camera and get them doing it on film, and then go to the police and have them arrested,by the time i got done with them they would be buying me a new paint job,and also doing a little jail time from it,that just isn't right that someone do that to you, catch them on film that's all the proof you,ll need for a law suit, good luck with it,i hope you actually catch them doing it.

Invest in some cameras for the exterior of your home, to catch him/her, then call the police with video evidence and prosecute him/her. Then they can pay for their ignorance. No violence.... God bless****
