Well this may not apply to you, because I assume you're living in the United Kingdom, but in Canada, we $1 and $2 coins. I never spend any change if I don't have to. I put it all in a jar, and add it all up in a year. You would be amazed at how much money you can save doing this. I just rolled all the coins I saved up from the past year and I had $400.00!

You could do the same thing with your coins and dollar and two dollar bills.

Good Luck!

Divide the amount you want to save (335 pounds) into the number of weeks you have to save. Each week, take that munch money (35 pounds or whatever it is) out of your wallet and stick it somewhere you won't spend it.

The REAL trick is finding a way to get through the week with less cash than you're used to. For that, you have to look at your personal lifestyle and see where you waste money. Popular ways to waste money:

-Eating at restaurants
-Coffee shops (Starbucks sells coffee for $4 a cup)
-Buying books to read instead of using the library
-Going to lots of movies and other sorts of entertainment
-Driving your car a lot (gas money)
-Renting movies, using the top cable TV subscription service, things like this

See which of these -- or similar sorts of things -- you do now that you could do less of. Then just do less of them.

Many banks offer a Christmas account - they take out an amount set by you on a weekly basis and you do not have access to it until a date close to Christmas - beleive it is like a month prior. You better start saving quick.

Another way is to stop carrying all your cash or credit cards with you when go out. Ex: drinking w. friends, shopping. It limits your spending only to what you have on hand.
