we don't know; it depends on what you mean by "settle." There were at least 16 vikings at one point. I don't know of a roster, though.
there could have been some before that.
afterward, there were efforts to settle in thr 1540s, but they were very brief. again, no names. The St. Croix colony, later the Port Royal colony, may have been the first long-lasting effort (early 1600s), but there could have been others not recprded.
