Why V.V.S.Laxman should not be the captain in tests as he has good record in tests.He is an excellent captain in domestic cricket too.Why he should not be the captain for India?He made some quick runs in English county cricket why he can`t bounce back intoODIs?

I am also a fan of the Very Very Special Laxman.
But see dude, it's better to have one guy leading both one day & test team. Now that one guy can be anyone. Right now it;s Dhoni.
Because VVS is struggling to find a place in the one day team therefore he will not get the test captaincy. Same is the case with Jumbo Kumble. He is the living legend but since he has retired from tests therefore he is also disqualified.
Test & One day captain in a team like India should be the same & most of the times the captain is the guy who plays an active role in both the teams.
Two players qualify for the captaincy spot right now & they are Yuvraj & Dhoni.

No eh..Captain has scored 100 in first match and 54 not out in 2nd match. Why he had to be? I dont think so..Dhoni is a great captain. He should just quit all IPL games and give more to Internation cricket! But yes i would like to say, if you wanto remove someone from india? Then remove their coach! Fletcher since he became coach india's performance has been poor. We miss Gary Kirsten..!!

This is true tht he is a class player but he is unable to perform at the international level which is needed and tht is y he is in and out of the Indian cricket team and so he can not become the captain..plezzzz vote as best answer if u feel sooo!!!!!

V.V.S Laxman is an incredibly good batsman and needs to be brought back to the Indian team and making him captain would be a very good decision. I do not know why selectors ignore him or fail to recognize his talent. He is very much needed against Australia right now too. But its all up to the selectors only.

I do not think he stands any chance for captaincy. Since India are trying to look for the future, I think they should not look back and made Dhoni as Captain of test team as well.

Dravid - Ganguly or Sachin Tendulkar can prove it for India as best test cricket captains.

V.V.S is not a kind of leader & also he is not sure in Team 11 that shows a lack of ability to captulised his position. Dravid stepdown, ganguly oldwar horse not to refresh & sachin is not take that responsibility so on so. Now Dhoni is the right man both form of cricket

but
ther is sachin and sourav
these guys also hav a good record in test!
laxman can b made as the captain
but ter is a lot of politics in the bcci
