I have no idea, but they should. Those who outed a CIA operative during wartime should have been hung years ago instead of getting amnesty. Good question.

Because the Bush supporters will not recognise his treason, they excuse it because he is a republican.
But

He even committed the act when in his 20's

Because executing people is barbaric and we want the world to see us as a civilized and humane country. Personally, though, if it's extreme treason like letting out major government secrets, i say go ahead and give them the chair because then we're just going to spend taxpayers dollars to support them in prison.

Well, first they have to be found guilty of treason before they can be sentenced and executed. As far as I know, no one has recently been charged with treason.

Can you imagine the kinds of things the current administration would consider as treason? They could execute anyone for just publicly disagreeing with their policies.

People are too quick to classify something as treason.
If you speak an opinion no matter what side you are on, that is not treason.

Oh, you mean "PUBLIC" executions. No, that's too bothersome. You actually have to define what treason is and prove it in open court. Who has time for that?

I still have a problem with the fact that they didn't put Sandy Berger in jail for stealing classified documents from the national archives. Had you or I done that we would be rotting in jail.

Well, a finding of guilt generally precedes the imposition of punishment. To my knowledge, no one has been found guilty of this crime recently, therefore, no imposition of punishment. Perhaps we need to start there.
