Need more information.

Year, make, model, engine size

When does it make the noise? When you first start to reverse, at the end of the reverse, after you switch gears into drive?

Ok, you said it was a Toyota Corolla.

Listen closely to the "Clunk" noise when going in reverse. Does it seem to be coming from the Rear drums (brakes) of the car? These cars have self adjusting rear drum brakes, that adjust themselves when place in reverse. (I know this sounds strange). It's very possible that the "Clunk" noise you're hearing is simply the rear brake adjusting themselves.

Sounds like possible cv joint. Does it make a noise when you turn the steering wheel? If so sounds like a cv joint.
