i'd like to design womens t-shirts but have no idea where to begin. I have a great ideas for label names and designs but dont know where to start.

you know i feel you, i have the same problem, i have many ideas for men's tees,jeans,jackets and shoes, and the only thing i'm looking for is the help of some onebecause trust me you will need a lot of money if you wanna do that. i wich you good luck in your dream

Start with your school or community.
I started designing shirt in my high school this summer and it's blowing up. Many clothing lines come straight out of college if you want to be a fasion design. The only thing I can tell you is to keep designing. Good Luck.

You have to produce samples of your products and create a demand for them. You will need financial support which can be gotten from investors or selling the concept to a current manufacturer.
With a new fashion trend, getting some famous or infamous celebrities to be seen, photographed wearing your products will create a lot of interest. Even established designers give these people free samples to wear.
Imagine if some hot pop star or rapper or movie star was photographed wearing your t-shirt while she was being arrested for DUI or something.

Design your own label, get a local printer or T-shirt manufacturer to make for you a few pieces to a few hundred pieces(whatever you can sell) Of course you need money to start that. Good luck

If you want to start a clothing line try these tips: 1st get a notebook so you can begin to design them. 2nd go get fabric. 3rd start making the clothes, it does not help just to keep those drawings anonymous. 4th were the clothes out, maybe if your lucky people will ask you to make them a dress or shirt.

layout the clothing, make a label call, make the clothing, start up an internet site, promote it lots, do not make it too high priced, attempt and get onto television/radio/magazines and finally paintings your thank you to getting your guy or woman save in a mall :)

Start by making a portfolio of drawings, like a notebook. I kinda stop there because thats all i know, and i am wondering the same thing :]

Go to store get ideas. Get taylors to start making clothes get a business get it approved, hire employees, make tags, make a site, sell!
