The first "A Nightmare on Elm Street". Holy crap it scared the heck out of me...and I don't get scared easily. Granted I was only 12 when I saw it and I know that technologically movies have come a long way but the premise of the movie was so original and scary. The thought that someone can kill you in your dreams and it happens in real life is utterly terrifying. The first girl killed in the movie freaks me out when she's screaming and being thrown around the room. You can't see who's doing it to her but you see the cuts and blood happening. FREAKY! I didn't sleep for a week. Plus the nursery rhyme song is just creepy.
The rest of the movie series is STUPID but if you can let go of the more dated technological aspects of the first film and just focus on the scariness of the premise it's a sure fire fright fest. Scared one of my kids friends so bad the first time he pee'd his pants!

I love scary movies a lot...so with that in mind, I would have to say for me that Saw 2 was really, really gross and scary..I have the DVD and am personally glad that I waited until AFTER the movie to watch the special features, cuz they showed how they did some of the scenes and I don't think I would of found nearly as gross..but it's still a good one..also the Friday the 13th movies and Nightmare on Elm Street ones spooked me when I was a kid..I hope you have a great Halloween..and please let me wish PEACE to you and yours today and everyday...;0)

I saw Pinocchio when I was three or four and to this day I have not seen another film which has scared me more.
Boys turning into donkeys! Giant whales swallowing people! It's frightening stuff for a small child. Gave me nightmares for months.
I don't care how many vampires or cannibals your modern fright-fest has. Doesn't bother me at all. But I honestly couldn't imagine seeing Pinocchio again. I'm not sure i'd survive it.

It's a tie...The Exorcist and The Grudge...they both creep me out!!!
I think it's not because of the storyline, but because of the "sounds/voices" in the movies...
