ok my monitor came up missing and i'm pissed, i been researching PC tracing but i have not seen anything that helps, mostly they talk about the pc it's self not just the monitor, so my question is can i find out over the net if someone is using my monitor or is that too advance right now ?

There is asset tracking software that some companies use that will identify which monitor is attached to which computer, but it is not a standard function and requires the tracking software to be on the computer.


It is not much use in recovering your old monitor, but if you want to keep hold of the new one, most flat panels have a slot for a Kensington lock.

It is like you will need to buy you a new Monitor. I'd suggest you include in your buying also a locker, like those used in Notebooks. Most of the monitors nowadays have a point to connect a locker, so increasing your asset safety.

You cant & wont be able to trace it online. Just go buy a new one. Lock your room and keep an eye on your roomies. I'm sure thats not the only thing thats gone missing.
