as they say ,there's more than one way to skin a cat! first USC is a good school but it takes public money and it's in CALIFORNIA(left wing PEOPLES REPUBLIC) so if you live in CA your chances go up dramaticly.now here are 2 important questions-1.do you want the freshman to senior FULL MEAL DEAL-or 2.is getting a usc sheepskin the main goal.ok out of state tution is gonna kick your b-hind so unless you got big bucks -move to california for enough time before start of freshman year, apply go thru nomal channels-now lets say you try the old fashioned way and transcripts and or sat/act won't cut it-here is the back door-most if not all public schools (especially huge ones ) offer continuing education oppotunities to the community(as a NEW resident that means YOU!)so you and your advisor pick a major(unoffically on the down low)and you take some electives as "undeclared" and then take at least 1 freshman class during summer school and BINGO! you are in-GED and NO SAT!!!

USC is a near top tier academic school. It is does not have the reputation of Cal, Stanford, UCLA or an Ivy League school, but it is not that far behind. It is also a pricey private school. (Don't listen to or be offended by the confused gibberish by "badmts," above; by answering you, he gives his school bad press).

USC's rep in the Ivy League is "University of Second Choice" and in the Pac-10 as "University of Spoiled Children." Both of which are indicative of what it is, a good almost great academic school filled with children of the well-off.

USC has a great film school, which may be the best in the nation. The remainder of the academics are solid. It is also in a rough part of town, which is a draw back.

You will need good academics to get in. Money and family connections will definitely help. For more information, take a look at:

Why would you want to go there? They lost to Stanford. HAHA!
