There were the key rumors I had as a kid, one was that if you look into your cat's eyes they can read your mind I always thought it was possible so... is it?
Also you know how people say "they can sense fear..." I always thought that it applied to dogs too, again is that true or not?
Because every cat I seem to go near cuddles with me even if I walk away and every dog I go near wants to bite me. So I wonder do the cat's read my mind and sense something like lonelyness and do the dogs sense that I don't like them and are they taunting me??

I know about dogs only. They can really sense human emotions when you touch them, they bark or whine when they feel something. I onced touched a dog named Sushi and she whined while looking to me. At first I was afraid then I was getting used to it.

Animals, in general are sensitive to humans' moods and emotions. They cannot necessarily read your mind, but they can do sense how you feel. Dogs bark more at people who seem afraid of them. The bark is a defense and they will use it when it seems to work. Cats love to snuggle and cuddle. They will take all the attention they can get (most cats, that is)

Dogs can sense emotions but they also have a very strong sense of smell.Fear has a smell and they recognise it and act accordingly.
I tend to agree that cat's can't just read your mind they can put their own thoughts into it - mine are forever " asking " for things.

Cats can control your mind, not just read it. Dogs do sense emotions.
