i was approved for a loan by north rock lending .are they real

If they do not have a website, that is a clue that the person you are dealing with is a scammer.

Clue #2) If the person you are dealing with is using a generic email address (Yahoo!, Gmail, Hotmail, etc.) they are a scammer. A legit company would have its own domain.

Clue #3) If the are asking you to pay any sort of fee to them before they will send you the money, they are a scammer.

Go on line to the State they are supposed to be located in and check with the Secretary of State office, as they will have an incorporation and/or current standing record, for any company working legitimately in your state.

google it first of all, if you find it look at their annual report, see how credible of a company it is.
If it is a local lender, see if you can drive by the office, or maybe schedule an appointment with a loan counselor.
