That is up to Joe, but I am certain that there many teams out there who would welcome him, with open arms, to manage their teams

If Torre is not with the Yankees and wants to manage again I have to believe he would be the front runner on the short list of many teams looking for a manager.

If he is not retained by the Yankees, I think Mr. Torre will take a year or two off, and the he might come back and manage again.

It is in his blood to do this, and I think he isn't done yet. I just do think he will do it next year.

Some other Managers have tried to retire, and just couldn't stay away

Lou Pinella and Jim Leyland come to mind.

I really doubt he coaches next season and he may sit out more than one. but if he doesn't go back in the next couple i guarentee someone will put the number out there to get him back into the game.....but like i said in another discussion i don't think he is or should be going anywhere b/c if you ask me Brian Cashman is the one to blame.

In the short term, no. He will probably take at least a year off. (And well deserved). No doubt he will get a boat load of offers but whatever he does it will be a major pay day for him.
