dual core would be fine, besides the games need to catch up to maximize the quad core.
but the quad core is a good investments in case the games you play can utilize its full potentials but more expensive tho
hope it helps
btw im not a fan of amd or intel but if ur going to use windows products for your os might as well be intelligent enough to use intel lesser hassels and doesn't overheat^^

I7 might and noone could desire to argue the reality harm the AMD 6 center at video enhancing it would likely be waiting to edit the three.5 hour video to 1080p in like 3 hours likely a million hour in case you used a extra ideal enhancing software. if to procure a clean processor like a i7 or a AMD Phenom 9** then getting new DDR3 ram could be constructive yet does not have a dramatic effect in overall performance strengthen

I would suggest getting the Quad Core proccessor. It will perform better than the Dual Core even though it is slightly slower.

At stock speeds, Core2 Duo E6850 3.0ghz beats Q6600 BUT when overclocked, Q6600 is King. Benchmarks don't lie:

not many games are able to run on quad core yet. however, the quad will definitely be a good investment
