yesterday when checking email i was half way through reading one really offensive reply to a question it suddenly vanished. This was to me a very good thing as i had read enough to be (i can`t think of a suitable word) more than hurt or shocked. would this be someone watching out for such things. If my husband had seen it he would have banned me from this site but i love it and the people. Please tell me that these bad folk are far and few between. I might have to sail around the world.

pirate my husband is not a dictator sorry i used the wrong word. not banned i mean he would have said you don`t need to take that sort of s--t from anyone let alone people who would not say things to your face or with your man behind you

As I've said before, these people are ill and such actions says more about them than it does you -delete any such contact and don't give them the pleasure of getting a reaction from you -totally ignore them!

It was probably reported then deleted. Don't worry about getting nasty replies, it happens to us all. There seems to be a few people on this site who are not interested in giving there opinion on anything, they just want to upset, annoy or piss people off as much as they can. Don't take it personally, just laugh at them and maybe pity them a bit. I mean, there own lives must be pretty empty if get a kick out of offending folk via the Internet!

I always try not to be rude in my answers and give my honest opinion, but I have gotten some horrible emails also. I guess we shouldn't take it personally and just assume the person can't take criticism or doesn't want to hear an opinion other than their own. As far as it vanishing, maybe they deleted the question? Yahoo has alot of unsolved mysteries.

It probably got reported by enough people and so it was removed - no one likes to read really offensive replies!
Luckily, you don't get too many people like that, most are nice and helpful, you just get the odd few, who I reckon deliberately try and hurt people by being offensive. Some kind of sick joke?

Dont stop from coming here. As there are some morons who give moronic answers there are some morons who ask moronic questions. Its our job to ignore those rotting flies and enjoy and take benefit of this site.
P.S. i use the word moron to keep a certain standard in my answer or the types of words i can think of for them is far too you know what!

I would imagine that someone would have reported the answer to Yahoo, and that they removed it while you were reading it. Reporting is good as it really works on the site - if you report someone who has broken the rules of the site, then they are punished, but if someone reports falsely, they also lose effectiveness on the site.

their are some who try to spoil it I've stoped ansewring some questions as i am sick of saying the same thing and their is too much room for the offensive comments to get in or people take a joke the wrong way,

Maybe they got reported and removed while you were checking things out.
If that happened, I would say that its good. That means there are a lot more nice people out there that don't like bad behavior on here.
So as bad as what they said was, you have people looking out for you! How lovely to find that out!!!!

Unfortunately we live amongst nasty people.
I had this experience, so now have blocked my e-mail address. It's a shame, as I had a few nice ones too. The minority always seem to spoil it for the majority.
