When i look into my CPUZ programme it tells me the 'stepping' is 0, however, a different Chip shows 'Stepping' as 2 !! what is 'Stepping & which would give better performance ?

CPU stepping indicates versions of the processor. You should look at BOTH letter and number. A0 is usually the first version but may not necessarily reach the market. A1 or A2 would indicate minor revisions. Going up to the next letters like B1/B2/B3 or G0 indicate more complex changes.
