They are different things.

A Core 2 Duo is a processor while Centrino is a combination of Intel mobile processor, Intel mobile Chipset and Intel Wireless card.

The Centrino Duo label denotes a laptop that has an Intel Chipset, a Dual Core Intel processor (either Core Duo or Core 2 Duo) and an Intel Wireless card (IPW 3945 or whatever the draft-N successor is).

It is Depands on your Choice. If you want speed take core 2 duo. if you dont want more speed go centrino duo.
