yes, paul stewart sucks but I'm guessing you're too young to remember Koharski... he was horrible. he was the only ref that could make both teams pissed off. anybody remember jimmy shoenfeld telling him to "go eat another donut you fat pig?" hilarious.
koharski couldn't even keep up with the play. i seriously think the games he reffed would have been better off played on the honor system.

Without question Kerry Fraser for consistently being inconsistent. What is acceptable in the first becomes a penalty in the third. If a coach dare question his call or ask for an explanation look out, Mr Ego will quickly lose any semblance of being impartial and start calling penalty after penalty on that team. he also seems to have a good memory, any coach that slights him will pay for years to come.

It doesn't take a genius to realise that the fate of any game depends on the whims of the refs, but it is still up to good players to overcome that and still try to win. It makes for a more worthy opponent and an even more exciting game not to be hung up over refs

All the refs named here have been around a long time and have had good games and bad games, get over it, and to the cowboy who named Andy Van Hellomond, are you an idiot? he reffed more stanley cup finals than any other ref he couldn't have been that bad!

Kerry Fraser. He is too much a maverick. If everyone else is calling everything, he won't call a thing, even if it is obvious. If everyone else is "letting them play," then he'll call a guy for looking at someone funny. I think referee-blaming for the results of games is lame, but if anyone has influenced the outcome of a game with her own pride and selfishness, it's Fraser.

I agree with you on Paul Stewart. He allowed too much foul play to go on his watch, and seemed to pick occasions to call the obligatory penalty.

Im going with the refs who reffed the leafs game against carolina, im not saying thats why they lost, but FFS they missed SOO many obvious calls, i wanted to smack them, K first Kubina got slashed in the hand, then they missed 2 more slashes, then cam ward got plowed over, and then toskala got tripped, and there was another one i cant think of right now.
I wanted to kill them, but like i said, not the reason they lost, they were just outskilled.

I'm going with Wally Harris too
The players love Kerry Fraser, if only the fans could appreciate that.

Are you picking Van Hellemond because he borrowed money from you and didn't pay it back?
