To get away from home for awhile, from the familiar, mundane, everyday existence, to see other parts of the world, and to have experiences and memories that you just can't seem to experience at home.

to see places and people and have a new experience.
Cebu is a beautiful place. Rich in history and abound with present day amenities. Its people is warm and friendly. Its countryside is as well wonderful; a whole wide world to explore.
I lived and finished school in Cebu though I live in Mindanao. It's the best place to be for studies during my time and I believe it is the same today.

To see how other people live and to see interesting places. You get a whole new perspective of life by seeing different cultures. Quality of life varies a great deal from place to place.
For instance, in a big metropolitan area, life is fast, people hurrying for no apparent reason, and getting more and more anti social. In a small place, generally, people go a lot slower pace and take the time to acknowledge others. People that don't travel don't see the difference in quality of life. Traveling makes you appreciate the opportunities out there.

It's fun. Educational. You get a whole new perspective on your own culture when you see it from the outside. Some people really make lifelong friendships with people they meet from other places in the world. Imagine how terrible life
was for many Russians during the cold war that could never leave Russia...now they are free to travel.

Humans are inquisitive by nature. We like to explore and try new things. It's fun to go to places you've enver been before, to see things you've never seen, and to experience cultures that you've never experienced.
Simply getting up and going to a job every day gets very boring after a long period of time, even if you love your job. New experiences from travelling breaks up the regular daily routine and satisfies some of our most basic desires for variety.

i guess for different reasons.. for me its to find a wife .. see some different places and to loose the close bonds i've built with people i now hate.. so i guess travelling for me makes a tonne of sense..
I'm working towards buying a house here, lease it out.. and take off for a whole year or two.. and just explore with no time to be anywhere.. no plans.. no ideas.. i'll just do what comes for 2 years and live off my business income and rent from my property.. and maybe get a few odd jobs overseas as well..

Travelling takes us to a different places ...some seen and some unseen. Humans are one of the curious species on earth. Through travelling we get to meet new people, see places and get to know unknown facts and fictions which we all love to know.
Thats probably why people like to travel.

Because it is fun! You get to see new things, try new foods, try new things, and just learn more about the world in general. It creates a sense of adventure and the excitement of exploring (since you are seeing something that is new to you).

To see in person all the things you see in movies, pictures, and billboards. To get away from the everyday events that happen in a persons life. To have memories to think back on, as you get older.
