As long as it takes to reach the desired end. Not sure exactly what you are asking. Soil pipes are normally used for drainage of waste water and solids. They go to the septic tank or to the sewer main.

First I need to translate English into American, bonnet = hood, wing = fender, boot = trunk. I'm still a little hazy on grunion pins but soil pipes = drain field pipe. Pipe length is determined by several factors, ability of soil to "perk", depth to bedrock, water table depth and number of bathrooms in the house. RScott

I DONT THINK IT WOULD BE A CASE OF LENGTH BUT IF PIPE HAS TO SLOPE SAY 1INCH IN 40INCHES HOW DEEP ARE YOU GOING TO END UP ??
