i feed my dogs raw meat instead of dog food. it is very good for them as long as they are getting a balance of nutrition. there are books about it if you are interested.

Yes, it's fine. Dogs have quicker digestions meaning many germs that would make us ill, pass right through before they can infect the dog, so there's less to worry about from that point of view.
I feed raw meat every morning, and cooked brown rice and veg every evening, and my dog has never had any problems with the meat. She crunches the bones up easy, and has never choked or gotten ill.

Absolutely fine to feed raw meat, it is far far better than canned dog foods/kibble, make sure that they get a balanced diet by adding vegetables, wild dogs and wolves will eat the stomach of a kill as it contains grass etc (veggies!), if you look up the BARF diet it will explain better what is required in this diet. And it does NOT bring out the wild side of a dog, had to laugh at that suggestion!!

dude don't forget that a dog is a carnivore, so it can eat raw meat if it wants to. But don't give it too much, like every time your feeding the dog it's always raw meat. it might eat you next time. lol

For the past 19 years my old dog has been fed on raw meat, this is what has kept him young.

There is nothing wrong with feeding your dog, or cat, raw meat, they have eaten "raw" meat since their inception on this planet.
It is not good however, to only feed them raw meat. Just as humans need a balanced diet, so do our pets.
I used to raise dogs, and learned many things, such as when a female dog is pregnant, allowing them to have raw meat helps them produce more milk.
The problem with feeding your animals raw meats, is that they may not want to eat anything else if you tend to give them too much meat.
It also tends to bring the "wild" out in the animal, if its diet is filled with an abundance of raw meat. And by doing that, you can be assured that your animal will be drawn to blood also.
Talk to a vet, and see what he has to say about when and how much meat is a safe and healthy amount that your specific animal could consume. All dogs are not the same.

raw chicken is great for them, be careful with pork and lamb, the odd bit of red meat is ok. If you go to your vet they can give you a diet plan for your dog wich will suit the breed and size of dog.
