You really shouldn't be buying power supplies that aren't approved by the laptop manufacturer.

I wouldn't be surprised if your universal power supply is the problem.

Though it would also be a good idea to consider how old the battery is, laptop batteries tend to only last a few years anyway.

Most likely the universal AC adapter you bought is not the right one. It has low capacity (wattage) that is why it easily heats up. It may not last long and might eventually damage your laptop. It would be best to replace your battery and get the appropriate AC adapter.

do u have the old one? if yes note the information in it, and place an order for the battery and power supply in the place u bought the SYSTEM.

The universal one might be incompatible. Did you check to make sure the voltage and current settings are the same as your old adapter?
