An asteroid impact does not mean certain death. There are no asteroids big enough to snuff out all life on Earth that have any possibility of hitting Earth. So I would do what I could to survive. Number 1 would be to get as far away as possible from the place where it will hit. 1 hour is probably not enough time to get very far, especially if I am right under it and everybody else is trying to get away too, but I would try anyway.

Take my lawn chairs up to the roof of my garage and bring my surround sound speakers and stereo up there and sit back with a 24 pack of beer in a cooler and a shotgun and some shells and just wait for the end.

you don't think our astronomers would notice a moon sized asteroid on a collision course? they would give us more than an hour, probably a year at least!

I'd go out and have the finest steak dinner I could find, and a good bottle of wine to go with it, with my adopted families.
