Why are people giving her credit for coming clean and giving up her medals.

Do you really think she would be doing this if the information wasn't coming out. She is only doing this because she got caught.

There is no integrity, class or responsibility in anything she has done as some posters think. Integrity would have been not doing it, or fessing up years ago when it was first talked about.

So now other than a cheat she is a no good liar also.

I agree with Max S. They always cry crocodile tears after they are caught. What about how she lied to us in 2004? She should have to pay back all the endorsement money she got for winning all those fake medals too.

I dont know the whole situation, but I thought she was a pretty solid person with some decent ideals and all that. But i guess it shows you never really know someone all that much...why didnt she just fess up to this crap years ago...instead of holding on to those medals that she didnt win without help? I feel for her and her family for all the drama that they will go through. But a liar is just that a liar and nothing else.

Personally I think she only confessed because she was caught. Period. She would have NEVER admitted it if she had not been caught and confronted during this BALCO investigation.

I don't think any more or any less of her because of it. She cheated, she got caught, she admitted it. She is not a hard core criminal, just made some dumb mistakes..

It is a statement of society, bring back morals, punish your kids, and teach them right from wrong.

So young, such talent, what a waste

I think it's sad that it's getting to the point that you don't know who to believe in anymore. Seems like everyone is on the juice nowadays. What happened to the days when hard work and discipline meant something?

I think she looks like a dyke, and no wonder, she is doped up with steroids.

Why is the United States becoming so fake?-- from singers who don't sing on stage (lipsynching) to athletes who dont have the sense to stay off steroids or C.E.O.s who artificially inflate the worth of their companies.
