Well i read a lot of the chick magazines- Cosmo, Glamour, etc- they all have a good last page: usually a quiz or a 'celebs way back when' or something. Most magazines, in fact, have something cool on the very last page- if its an entertainment mag, then it'll have a profile of an actor or somebody. I dunno, i guess its better than reading the last page of a book before you start it! I do that too though sometimes :)

Nearly every magazine gives an informative and interesting one page spiel on the last inside page. This often gives the "color" or the "leaning" of the magazine. If I read the back inside page and I like its content, I can then move on to the inner/front pages. If it is too radical/conservative/whatever, I can put the whole thing down and not bother with it.

Newspapers have sports at the back as the other poster said. I do not read newspapers. If some news is important, someone will call me or tell me in conversation. God will take care of stuff for me, one day at a time. <><

In the rare occasions that I actually get a newspaper, I go striaght to the 'easy' crossword and finish that in half an hour and just glance through all the rest, since I see most of the News via my emails. I'm lucky enough to have a friend and neighbour who is signed up of three magazines, Scientific America, Science News and Discovery, and every coupe of months he brings a piles of magazines over and I read them all fro cover to cover. I find all that stuff fascinating. And I always start from the back page, with all the news about new books, reader's letters and so forth.

I do that too! I do it because I am right handed. It is easier for me to hold a magazine in my left hand and turn the pages with my right. Atleast that is the only reason I can come up with.

politics occupies most area & the matter will be the same always, last page has sports column which changes every day & we see different talents appear ,hence people start reading from the last page.

well if you know on newpapers the most big news gos at front to back so people read it from the back to front so it gets more exciting reading it then exciting to boring news.
