Depends on the situation. If you are facing the situation out of fear for someone else, it is braver. If you run to help someone else, it is braver.
Bravery is about placing the importance of your ideas above your own safety, whether that idea is that corn syrup is evil, that a gun is nothing to fear, or whether it is simply to protect your friends.
Also, running from a situation is sometimes a way of facing it, but if someone is too scared to run from a situation, is he really facing it at all?
The English language may be in our way here, as well. If you kick a guy with a gun because you were afraid that you'd get shot if you ran, you didn't run from the situation at all, did you? You were scared of running, but not facing the situation.

I wouldn't call running away from a situation brave , depending on the situation of course , for example if you're running because you're afraid , then it's cowardly , but if you're running away for your own safety , then that's a completely different issue ... Now to face something or someone because you are too scared to run , it doesn't make you brave , yet it does , in other words it's a '' false courage '' , because you simply can't run , yet you are still afraid
In my opinion it simply varies/depends on the situation

Bravery is overcoming your natural fear to do what is right, even if it puts you at risk! I am a volunteer firefighter. We go into burning buildings and save lives! Some people would say we are brave, others would say we are stupid for doing this for no pay! We do not consider ourselves to be heroes, we are just normal people who help out our fellow man.
Some people confuse bravery and stupidity. They can often resemble each other. Some risks are not worth taking! For example if you were to stand on a railroad track facing an oncoming train, jumping away at the last minute, that would not mean you were brave, it would mean that you were stupid!! If you were to run in front of the same train to grab a child who had wandered onto the tracks, that would be brave!
A lack of fear is not bravery. True bravery is knowing the risk, overcoming your natural fear and doing what needs to be done.

If you as me it is braver to run from a situation where you are in trouble bravery is all about sense not Braun so if running saves you and others that is a much braver act than fighting or standing your ground and causing more harm.

sometimes, it's "braver" to run away from situations..like fighting and doing nasty things..but i suggest we should all face every situation positive nor negative..
