Those I'm close to would not be shocked - husband, sister, good friends. There's a couple of things my children will never know. And the rest of the world - yes, there are some things which may shock some of them.

We all show a different face to whoever we are with at the time. It depends on context, so people only know us in that context. Unless we are fooling ourselves, the only time we are really who we are is when we are on our own, so by definition people never see the "true" us. We all have dark thoughts and things we wish we hadn't done. The trick is to learn from it and so learn about yourself.

My very close friends know who i really am and they are continually shocked, but that's why they are my close friends they accept me for who i am. The rest of the people i know don't ever get to see the real me. ;)

No, I don't think so.
They would be shocked if they thought I really looked like Dick Cheney in any way. I'm younger, have lots more hair, and I'm quite HAWTER.

My younger brother was shocked when he asked me what exactly did my ex-husband do to me. Well he did ask! He is now a quivering wreck!

People always seem a little shocked when they meet me.
maybe it's the make up, maybe it's the clothes...maybe it's my hunchback....no, on second thoughts, I don't think that's it...
