i had sex for the first time with my boyfriend two days ago. we were both virgins. i bled quite a bit after that, it lasted from after sex, all the way till the next morning. it wasnt really to the extent that it was like a period, but it was still considerably long. is it normal for this to happen?

It not unusual to bleed when your hymen tears, it can vary for each woman. If your bleeding doesn't stop, I would make an apt. with your doc. & have him/her check you out.

Different women bleed for different amounts of time and severity when the hymen is broken during the first intercourse. I personally barely bled, but I've have friends that bled like you did. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Completly normal....you broke your hymen wall wich makes you bleed virgins have it even some women still have bits of it after there 3 time dw your fine..........you can breath now

it may happen for the FIRST TIMERS!!!
but prolonged bleding is UNUSUAL!!!
if it persists consult a GYNECOLOGIST!
