I've listened to a couple of times... and I like it, but I always think Radiohead albums take a while to really grow on you.

Fantastic. Listened too it 3 times in a row and it is brilliant as I expected. Of course I had heard most of the songs from the tour. Some surprising arrangements on a couple of tunes however. Can't wait to hear the other disc with the box set.

To the gentlemen who wrote about being upset with this album and albums after OK computer. It is fine not to like what Radiohead has become. However the band has proggressed past the sound that they had on those early albums. At this point in my opinion if they put out an album that were straight ahead rock and roll songs I would be very dissapointed. I can hear straight ahead tunes from any number of bands. I expect pushing the envelope from Radiohead.

It reminds me of Animals by Pink Floyd. Stripped down, lots of acoustic. It isn't exactly like thier older stuff (before OK Computer) and not nearly as much synth or ambience as Amnesiac or Kid A, but it seems to provide a very distinct balance between the two styles.

I like it alot. And it provides a good contrast from Thom York'es (the lead singer of Radiohead) solo album, The Eraser (which seems to have been created in the same vein as Kid A, Amnesiac and Hail to the Thief).

I'd say it marks a return to thier roots, in that it seems much more obvious that actual musical instruments are in use, and the song writing and musicmanship seems much more lucid and upfront from the get go.

I love all of thier albums, but this one is definately easier to absorb on first listen, compared to the very ambient Kid A and Amnesiac albums.

Only time will tell if it will still be as relevant and evoking on it's 500th listen as it was on its 5th.

just downloaded it for nothing based on the fact that i never buy an album without having heard it first, if it was good i would have gone back and paid for it.

However it is rubbish, they are still stuck in their rubbish Kid A rut. i was hopeful we may have had at least a partial return to the brilliance of Pablo Honey, The Bends and OK computer.

Overall very disappointing, lets just hope they can find their way out of this rut one day

Only managed to hear the first couple of tunes yesterday evening, but I liked the sound of what I heard.

While it's no OK Computer, it's also far better than Amnesiac.
