Eliminate super impersonal chat? Things like "How may I provide you with excellent service." Sounds so fake, I cannot stand it.

Give awards to workers if customers report good things to the manager.

Sell the puched out circles of beef as beef chips for super cheap. j/k what does white castle do with those beef punch outs anyways?

The best way to improve on friendliness is to hire friendly people. Or do what the Patient's Representive of this hospital told a group of employees, it will be grounds for termination if you do not speak to visitors, and customers within ten feet of you. And it became the friendliest in town.

I remember when I was young and worked in fast food for a brief period. The way I worked best was simply for the mangager who would treat me with respect and who was nice to me. If they treated me like they were above me and better then me then they got that kind of attitude. If you make it a pleasant invironment for the employee, it will show in their work efforts. You have to bring out the goodness in your workers.

Hire quality grown folk that care about their jobs and benefits. Pay more money, and flexible schedules. Hiring teenagers don't give a flip about their jobs or your customers. They care about a spending money, they have no bills, and still leave at home with mommy and dad.
