Im going to the furthest non-hostile, intelligent civilization in the universe. Where would you like to travel to?

It mainly depends on which form of life, and what is called "intelligence".
Furthermore, I feel too old to travel that far.

Just simple, if time travel permits you, india, ancient India. Ancient india was what you just desribed, and that India was taken for a ride first by the Muslim invaders, and then by the British for nearly 2000 years.

But there still is hope, the nation is rebuilding herslef, iin spirituality and culture as it had been the case, with bright promises as shown in the small sixty years of independence..........

We are the only known intelligent civilization. As for hostile or not, it does not matter if you cannot go somewhere else.
