my grandmother was very much a mean person. she verbally abused my mother who was trying to help her. i loved her because she was family but didn't care for her actions. there's a lot of things i avoided because i didn't want to be around her. well, my grandmother took an unexpected turn about two months ago. it took the whole family by surprised. it was horrible to see her in so much pain. she passed away recently and all that resentment that i had is gone. it also makes me feel guilty because i could have spent more time with her. i just feel like a horrible granddaughter. she deserved so much more. she didn't deserve to be in pain. i visited her at the nursing home on several occasions. it seemed like she was trapped in her own memories. we did everything that we could. but, it's not fair. why do people suffer? it breaks my heart that she went out that way.

My mom and I have never had a strong relationship, and I have always been distant with her. We were estranged for six years and she's a very difficult person to understand. And I'm a very difficult person to show emotion for someone. Especially her, for some reason. Now, she's had a stroke, and it kills me to see her the way she is. It makes me feel selfish, but I just hate to see her like that and I don't know how to act.

Right now... my ex. I miss him like hell, and although I say I am over it. I am not. I feel like something is missing. And it's him! My days have been cold and lonely, and yet he doesn't know. He thinks I am living life away with someone else. I lead him to believe that because I wanted to let go of us completely, but now, that lie is eating away at my heart.

Yes, in high school. I lacked confidence and was afraid of being hurt or rejected. I've grown up since them.
