In my opinion, Bon Scott. Brian Johnson screeches too much.

Really. I would say the Orginal singer of a band is the best, they both sound alot alike I really like Bon's voice but Brian is amazing too, So I gues for the 70's Bon, and 80's and 90, and so forth is Brian. AC/DC is just awesome they rock.

honestly i dunno why people still talk about this. They both had unique sounds and really arent comparable in anyway. yea brians been more successful when you look at record sales only because bon had already laid the foundations. the big question though stands...what happened to AC/DC's riffs? now i understand that bon and brian didnt write the riffs but the change in music is significant

with bon the riffs were much more hard rock and roll. if you ask me they were faster, and more songs had a different feel...which i know for AC/DC thats kind of hard to get but i can hear it.

with brian the riffs got a little heavier and less rock and roll and more typical rock. AC/DC has been in a slide if you ask me really after Back in Black. they've had some good tunes but nothing compared to what was written with bon. Highway to hell, whole lotta rosie, if you want blood, tnt, dirty deeds, i mean hell the list goes on and on, and most of those songs have distinct feels.

with brian the bands sound just kinda mashes with the formula. maybe too much of the same. i dunno. but i know i can listen to any album with Bon and feel happy. with Brians, its really back in black, for those about to rock, and ballbreaker. thats really it.

i think they both are great singers for the style...but the styles changed a lot, im not sure im so down with that.

Bon Scott.

I prefer the Pre-Back in Black AC/DC (High Voltage to Highway to Hell).

While the Brian Johnson period (Back in Black to Stiff Upper Lip) is good, I think the Bon Scott period is far superior.

Bon sounded like he gargled with gasoline! Serious attitude and swagger, with little in the way of technique or polish - the perfect compliment to Angus Young's soulful solos and manic stage antics.

Brian brought a more focused energy, a harder edge, and a shriek that could peel paint off the walls. When he stepped in after the tragic loss of Bon Scott, AC/DC was reborn to release "Back in Black", one of the top 5 best selling albums of all time.

Bon Scott, he had a unique voice that was um... tolerable, unlike, Brian Johnson's. I loved Bon's voice.
