I downloaded the latest version of Itunes and transfered all of my songs from my computer to the itunes library. I thought by doing so I could easily put them on my new Ipod nano 3. What am I doing wrong or what can I do to get the songs on the ipod. Please help me .

You need to check all your songs, and depending on whether your iPod contains it's own "Music" list or not, you need to drag your list to the left part of your screen with the mouse - that where all the music lists will be.

If your iPod contains an empty list that says "Music Library" (just like in your main song list) you can drag your list of downloads to where it says "Music Library," and it will write your downloads in for you while you wait. If not, then you need to create a list down to where your CD burning lists will be (make sure it's compatible with your player) and drag the list of downloads to that list. However, it will not download into the iPod automatically. You'll have to shut down iTunes, then start it back up again with the player plugged into your computer. Once you start iTunes up again, only then will your music be downloaded into your player
